Greetings all. I'm Max, the artist behind Maxrakart. My desire is to create unique and original illustrations that focus on the state of Michigan and its sports teams.

Growing up as a Michigander, I developed a deep loyalty to anything involving the Mitten. I've always had the desire to create and share my work, but have lacked the confidence to do so as someone who is self-taught and lacking a resume or portfolio of any kind.

Last fall, I decided to go for it and start throwing my drawings on instagram for kicks. Over the past six months, I've slowly gained a little traction and desire to keep creating for anyone that appreciates my style.

At this point, I'm just kind of going where the wind blows and am collaborating with anyone who's willing to take a chance on me. Eventually I hope to partner with major sports teams and brands in Michigan, and to illustrate children's books.
