Greetings! I'm Max, the artist behind Maxrakart. My desire is to create unique and original illustrations that focus on the state of Michigan and its sports teams. Growing up as a Michigander, I developed a deep loyalty to anything involving the Mitten.

For years, I kept my drawings to myself because I was self-taught and lacked any official portfolio. In the fall of 2024 I decided to just go for it and started sharing my work publicly.

Since then, things have started to gained some traction and I'm now at an exciting point where this passion is slowly turning into a real business.

5 goals for my art page in 2026

1. Reach 10k followers across all platforms

- After March, I sit at 4,408.

2. Three paid brand deals or collaborations

- 1/3 currently finished, with several in the works. Completed an animation for a Detroit favorite - Jets Pizza.

3. Post 4 long-form youtube videos

- Nothing to report here yet...

4. Get a pro athlete to wear one of my designs ✅

- Completed! Thanks to an opportunity working for Sana Detroit, hockey legend Patrick Kane wore a t-shirt with a design I hand drew.

5. Send out a print via snail mail each month

- 4/4 as of April. Have not created a mail club yet, but have offered a new print each month.

Long-shot bonus: get an animation into a commercial

- Have not yet gotten one into a commercial, but my animation of Megan Keller's olympic gold medal winning goal has gotten over 1m views on Instagram/Tik Tok combined.

(Retired: 2025 Goals)

1. Reach 3,000 followers

- 1,970 to go after November.

- Hoping for this following specifically on Instagram, but Tik Tok is growing stronger at this point.

2. Get a brand deal/sponsorship. ✅

- It hasn't been released yet, but I secured one around late September. Check!

3. Get 10 commissions.

- 7 down. 1 month to go. Happy with that.

4. Launch a Website. ✅

- If you're reading this, I've accomplished this. Check!

5. Get noticed by a Detroit sports team. ✅

- I received interactions on social media from 2 of the 4 major Detroit sports teams. Counting it. Check!

Bonus: Have a reel reach 10k plays. ✅

- My reel of Master's winner Rory McIlroy is just over 15k views at this point. Check!
